The placement of your InStore.ai edge device is essential for ensuring stable connectivity and efficient operation. This guide covers the best practices for placing the edge device, as well as detailed instructions for setting up network connectivity. Proper placement and setup will help you avoid common issues and ensure a seamless deployment.

Best Practices:

  • Location: Position the edge device close to the microphone, ensuring that the cords reach between the mic and the edge device and between the edge device and the power source.

  • Ethernet Connection: If possible, plug the device into a designated Ethernet port at the counter.

  • WiFi Connection:

    1. Plug the microphone into the edge device and the device into a power source.

    2. Access WiFi settings on your phone or laptop and look for the network named “WiFi Connect.”

    3. Connect to the “WiFi Connect” network.

    4. A pop-up should appear to select the appropriate SSID network and enter the SSID password.

    5. Click “OK,” and the device should reboot and connect to the network.

    6. After 1-2 minutes, check your WiFi settings again. If the “WiFi Connect” network is still visible, repeat the process from step 2.
